Issues Campaigns
Our personnel have experience creating and implementing dozens of successful public affairs campaigns, including:
- Creation and management of campaign to support Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS). The creation and implementation of a three-year, grass roots media campaign on behalf of coalition of business and educators provided widespread public support for MCAS as a requirement for graduation from high school in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The campaign overcame a multi-million dollar advertising and lobbying effort undertaken by the powerful Massachusetts Teachers Association.
- Creation and management of a successful public affairs campaign to restore a $780 million commuter rail project on the South Shore of Massachusetts after the governor abruptly placed a moratorium on the undertaking.
- Creation of an international media relations campaign to expose a leading
higher education institution's unauthorized use of intellectual property
as part of a government grant process. This campaign generated a blitz
of global media coverage, including international network television
appearances, which subsequently brought a public apology to the client
from the institution to the client.
- Creation of a regional media campaign to draw attention to the plight of a political dissident who was hours away from wrongful deportation to certain imprisonment, torture, and possibly, death. Resulting coverage contributed directly to the dissident being spared deportment (captured live on TV) and assured widespread coverage for the man's attorney and his law firm, which sponsored this campaign.
