Grass roots media campaign that communicated widespread public support for standardized curriculum and testing as requirement for graduation from high school in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The small budget campaign goes head-to-head with multi-million dollar advertising and lobbying effort put forth by the powerful Massachusetts Teachers Association.
- Results
In 2003, Massachusetts affirms statewide high school graduation requirement of MCAS.
- Statewide ballot initiative, Massachusetts healthcare reform.
- Mission
Develop message platform for Mass ACT!, a coalition that is pushing a statewide ballot initiative to require mandatory health insurance coverage for all Massachusetts residents.
- Results
Strong messaging helps Mass ACT! gather nearly 140,000 signatures to place initiative on the ballot. Unexpected strength of Mass ACT! initiative leads Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Massachusetts' legislature to enact historic healthcare reform law in April 2006.
- Greenbush On Track.
- Mission
Create and manage public affairs campaign to restore $780 million commuter rail project on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Project was endangered after newly-elected Governor Mitt Romney abruptly placed moratorium on the project.
- Results
Aggressive five-month campaign resulted in overwhelmingly supportive media coverage of the project, including several published by influential newspaper editorial boards and columnists.
